Biographical / Historical

The Wrightwood Neighborhood Association (WNA) is one of the Lincoln Park neighborhood groups responsible for much of the beautification, community building, and preservation of the north side of Chicago. WNA was formally known as Wrightwood Neighborhood Conservation Association until 1999. Wrightwood is bordered on the north by Diversey, on the east by Halsted, on the south by Fullerton, and on the west by Lakewood. Founding members included: James Gaughan, the first president, Reverend Preston Kavanagh of the Seminary Church, and Grace Noethling, the first treasurer.
