Biographical / Historical

The Lincoln Park Advisory Council was founded in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois, representing a joint effort of the Lincoln Park Conservation Association and Friends of the Parks. In the 1980s and 1990s, LPAC was dedicated to land use and planning in the Lincoln Park community. According to LPAC's Statement of Purpose, "The purpose of the Lincoln Park Advisory Council is to provide a forum for organized and non-organized users of the parks; to advise, to make recommendations and to work with the park district; to maintain and improve environmental conditions; and to include long range planning."
