Biographical / Historical
DePaul University's College of Commerce was established in January of 1913 and ranks among the ten oldest business schools in America. On September 19, 2012, the name was officially changed to the Driehaus College of Business. The name change was an expression of gratitude to DePaul alumnus Richard H. Driehaus, who presented the university with a gift of 30 million dollars in February of that year. To date, it is the single largest gift in DePaul's history. The school celebrated its centennial in 2013, in conjunction with the College of Music and College of Law.
