Biographical / Historical
In 2011, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences split into the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the College of Science and Health. The College of Science and Health was established as a response to the nation's growing demands for science and health professionals. The College aims to provide students with innovative, science-based curricula with a strong liberal arts foundation. Majors previously housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have moved to the new college. These majors include the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, and Physics, as well as the School of Nursing. Materials pertaining to these majors before the split may exist in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences collection.
